Local boy takes aloha to new levels in the mile high city. While visiting Aurora, I arrived to a packed restaurant. The busy staff still had time to welcome our group and walk us through some of the favorites on the menu. Our group enjoyed the mix BBQ and BBQ chicken plates. The chicken, beef and kalbi rib meat were marinated well and had great flavor. Each plate was served with rice and macaroni salad. We added a flavorful fresh made poke and a haupia pudding dessert...both which should not be missed. Pro Tip: While our group was able to get a table for 4 at this busy location, consider getting your plate lunch to go if the weather is nice outside.

Preparing for our trip to Hawaii, we just had a craving for local food that we needed to have now! This is the closest thing to Hawaiian food as you can get out here in Colorado. Once you step through the door, you're greeted with aloha from the employees and even the cooks. The food is absolutely delicious and you can taste it's made with love. Service was quick even though there were plenty of people inside eating or waiting to order. There were many options of the menu from saimin to musibi's to loco moco. Eat fresh or take it to go, you'll get some ono grindz here!

Good Hawaiian BBQ spot for a fast food type of restaurant. They were fast and courteous and the Hawaiian music was a nice touch.

The ROI at this place is superb. When I paid what I paid, I was like, this is pre-pandemic pricing, as if inflation was no more! There was virtually no wait even though the joint was filled with hungry lunch seekers. Yes, they do serve everything in Styrofoam assuming you're taking the food to go, but at least their affordable meal prices justify not hiring a dish washer! OK, honestly I'd rather they raise the price and serve the diners with proper plates but other fans may disagree. In any case, the food is simple, like home cooking, and there's LOTS of it. The staff couldn't be nicer. Always speak with a smile and tried to refuse our gratuity! Such a drastic difference to places where servers feel like they need to point out the minimum service charge was 22% (rolling my eyes). It's when you unassumingly provide great service that I'll surprise you with a good tip, simple as that!

I was too hungry to take a photo of my food before eating but the curry dish was delicious. It had a nice crunch and the macaroni salad was super tasty. I like that they offer a mini option because it was enough food for me. There's a lot on the menu that I need to try out. The employees are young but they were friendly. If you are in a rush, this would not be the place to get food. It was busy at 7pm and it closed at 8. There were so many people and food took about like 20-30 min. At least you know your food is hot. There's also not a lot of tables in there and parking can be difficult.

Would you believe that even people in Hawaii love L&L? It's their quick-to-go food! But is it just me or the portions are bigger in Hawaii? Anyways, I really don't remember why the sudden urge to chase after L&L last week. But I gotta have it! Aurora has two locations. We ended up here and we got lucky because after we ordered the line was insane! We had the Kalbi or the pork ribs and the Kalua Pork with Cabbage! These two hit the spot! Happy and full. It definitely brought Hawaii memories. Especially the smell. Anywhere you go there is always a line. Prepare yourself because that's the way it will be. Don't deduct stars because of the line. They're good, they're reliable and reasonably priced and it probably filled you up! So man up!
